All materials received

BAN administration reserves the right to scan all materials received in order to verify the industry nature of each material.  Should a material be approved, an email reply confirming the pitching of that material will be sent to the author of that material.  Should the material be disapproved, an email will also be sent to the author requesting certain changes be made to the material in order for BAN to pitch it accordingly.
By checking your BAN mail daily, it's possible to achieve the greater roles
By checking your BAN mail daily, it's possible to achieve the greater roles as well as the smaller ones as Katrina Goddard indicates:

Hi Mark, I have been lucky to get a couple more small roles from BAN lately. This is such a great service. Thanks.
I really appreciate your guidance. Cheers. Katrina Goddard.

Once you receive a casting notice

Once you receive a casting notice and you have chosen the role that you wish to suggest yourself for, make sure you have a professional head shot of no larger than 25k and a cv in doc format of no larger than 25k to email directly to the prescribed casting director, producer or director of any industry project.  These industry people will provide BAN with their full name, email and contact number and it will be your responsibility to ensure that you forward the appropriate material to them directly and not BAN.

By joining BAN,

By joining BAN, you automatically begin receiving frequent casting notices for mainly unpaid projects as well as some deferred payment and actual paid work opportunities.  We can never guarantee any BAN member paid work but what we can advise, is that upon reception of any casting notice, you forward it onto another artist you think may be suitable for a particular role and invite that artist to join BAN too.

Healing Through Theatre in Bali

Purnati Arts Centre Bali

Brisbane, Australian drama therapist Margi Brown Ash joins Per Brahe and Aole T. Miller for a 14 day theatre workshop at Purnati Center for the Arts in Bali, Indonesia. Using Per Brahe's original masks and development of Michael Checkov technique and Aole T. Miller's voice and acting training with Fitzmaurice Voicework and archetype masks, participants will build ensemble, and employ character development through body, voice and language.

This exciting healing through theatre workshop combines Western and Eastern philosophy exposing participants to the modern theatre. While building on the transformative work of Per Brahe and Aole T. Miller, Margi Brown Ash will provide the artist/psychologist and counselor with experiential processes to develop awareness of how one presents their selves in the world.

We welcome actors, directors, writers, instructors and therapist to join us in this innovative process of training human beings in the arts. Participants will also train daily in the ancient Gambuh opera, which is a full expression of body and voice using dance, singing, and music. All Balinese dance is influenced by the basic forms of the Gambuh. The purpose of the Gambuh training is to challenge the restrictive constraints of the ego through the metaphysical dancing gestures of this ancient court dance. The most important element of Balinese dance is that one must have a light heart free from judgment in order to fully commit to the intricate physical vocabulary. Whenever the ego comes in during the dance, balance is immediately lost. The Balinese way of life is centered on balance.

The workshop will be held over a period of two weeks at the Purnati Center for the Arts near Ubud, the arts capital of the island. There is a presence and grace that every artist aspires to in Bali. Every Balinese person is an artist in some way because they believe to make art serves God. Your senses will be inundated daily with thousands of complex images that will activate, rejuvenate, and heal your spirit while bringing you closer to the purest awareness of your inspiration and healing.

The Purnati Center for the Arts is the international hub for prominent artists from around the world to work. It is a securely guarded full service arts complex, with two training halls, an amphitheater, and a swimming pool, hidden away in the village of Batuan on the banks of a sacred river where the Balinese retrieve their holy water. All fresh organic meals are prepared daily by the center's executive chief. The rooms are two single bed dwellings that are prepared daily by the staff. There will be an extra charge of $600USD for single room

Due to Ozfrank's local and international performance commitments in 2009 new training arrangements are now in place. The 'old system' of regular Monday and Wednesday Training sessions, previously made available to all, is no longer in place. Ozfrank is now offering regular monthly intensives for all current trainees, students of theatre and dance, theatre professionals wanting to gain further skills and all others interested in East/West fusion theatre practice.
N.B. Any of you who are interested in being considered for participation in Ozfrank productions in the future should plan to attend every monthly intensive to gain the necessary physical and vocal skills. After you have gained the requisite skills you will be invited to participate in regular company training and rehearsals and to participate in future productions.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next three day intensive......
